The Avenue Lawn Tennis & Squash Club is a members' club for tennis, squash, table tennis, fitness and social activities. It dates back to 1902, and was voted the Lawn Tennis Association Club of 1996. The Avenue Lawn Tennis & Squash Club provides high-quality facilities for Tennis, Squash and Fitness, encouraging participation by all ages and abilities.

Located in Havant, Hampshire the club is very close to the main A27 that leads into Portsmouth. The railway station of Warblington is only 5 minutes walk away.

The club has excellent changing facilities, a large car park and a comfortable lounge with a fully licensed bar providing a social environment for members and guests at club prices. A fully equipped kitchen provides meals or snacks for tennis and squash teams and for social functions.

FIRST FOR AVENUE LADIES SQUASH SIDE

By winning their final match against Winchester Ladies 1st team by 16 points to 7 on Sunday evening, 18th March 2007 the Ladies have come top of Division One of the Hampshire SRA's Ladies Leagues for the FIRST time in the club's history.
The seven ladies who have represented the club this season are the captain Liz Walker, Sue Tant, Alison Barber, Fran Blake, Nicholle Noller, Binky Hallett and Sandra Johnstone and between them they won seven out of the ten matches played finishing clear winners with a total of 148 points. By winning the top Ladies Competition they automatically qualify for the ES Cup organised by England Squash. They were awarded a bye in the 1st Round and travel to play Tunbridge Wells in the second round shortly.

We are looking for more members to join us on a Tuesday evening.
You do not need a partner for ‘Chicago’ which is a sort of quick change bridge, so everybody gets a game and nobody has to wait too long. If you can play bridge and would like to give it a try, do come along and see if you like us, or if you know someone who would like to join, ask them to come along on a trial basis.

Application for club membership may be made by completing a form, available on request from the Club Office.

Visitors wishing to play tennis or squash must pay a guest fee and be accompanied by a member. If you require further information, please enquire at the Club office.
