The club's annual Christmas Doubles Tournament was held on Saturday morning, December 29th. This year there was a better than usual entry of twenty players which meant that everbody could have at least four matches in two box sections of five pairs. Section winners then played the Runners-up from the other section in semi-final matches to decide the pairings to play in the Final.

Semi-finals - Mike Miles & Simon Udal beat Michael Hallett & kelson Brooks. Liz Walker & Adrian Jones beat Matt Boschi & Malcom Wood.

Final - Mike Miles & Simon Udal beat Liz Walker & Adrian Jones.

It is interesting to note that eleven of the twenty people playing this year (twelve if you count Ian Udal who dropped out with an injury incurred during a friendly match the previous day and was replaced with one of the two reserves) had already got their names as winners on the trophy in the past fourteen years and that one (Binky Hallett) was a losing fnalist in the very first year that the event was run in 1991/2.
