In 2003 The Avenue Table Tennis Team was formed and entered in the local Portsmouth league - Division 5. The team has since been promoted to Division 4 and a second team entered into Division 5. In 2005, the first team "Avenue Puffins" gained promotion to Division 3, whereas the second team "Avenue Toucans" were mid table in Divison 5. In 2006, the first team gained promotion to Divison 2 and the second team are in Division 4.

Club night is Wednesday evening (7.30pm) with teams playing alternate weeks at home. League matches span from September to March. Practice and friendly matches are arranged during the summer season.
