Tennis at The Avenue

The Club is the proud owner of ten superb grass courts for summer play which are a delight to experience and the envy of visiting players.
Seven hard courts offer year-round all-weather play, four of which are artificial grass, and all are floodlit for evening play. Tournaments, team practice sessions and social play are organised by the club, offering a range of play to suit all tastes and ages.
All members are welcome at the regular and lively social tennis sessions on evenings and weekends which are suited to a range of abilities.
For more competitive tastes, the club also enters a large number of mens’, ladies’, mixed, junior and veterans’ teams in local and national competitions.
PLAYER AVAILABILITY LIST (PAL)
Anyone who has ever tried to set up a daytime doubles, or indeed find a backup 5th player for an established four, will know how difficult a task this is. A solution is to have a listing of members who would be interested in playing in the day. The guildlines are as follows ;
Anyone wishing to partake in daytime doubles (or singles) please add your name and details to the list on the tennis notice board.
The list will be updated on a regular basis and e-mailed to participants, enabling you to make your own arrangements.
Please edit your entry when necessary, e.g. if you need to change your days or delete your name. This can be done on the list or by e-mailing the changes to Jean.
If anyone has any problems with this system or has any ideas on how it can be improved, please contact Jean Dymock.
